This webpage was designed with you in mind. Our goal is to provide you with the information necessary to help you both during and after your visit. The Physicians, Physician Assistants (PAs), and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who will provide your care today work for Utah Regional Hospitalists. Who is URH?

Utah Regional Hospitalist is a Clinician-centric provider of hospital-based and inpatient medicine. We partner with hospitals and health systems to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in communities across the Utah, Idaho and the surrounding states.

You may not see our name displayed in the facility, but our Clinicians are second to none. They are trained in evidence-based practice and use innovative approaches to ensure every patient receives attentive care. During your visit, you can expect to be heard, respected, and thoughtfully cared for.

Inpatient Stay

If the ED care team has made the decision to admit you to the hospital, your care will be transitioned over to our inpatient care team. These Physicians are known as Hospitalists or Intensivists. The ED and inpatient care teams work side-by-side to ensure your care continues without interruption. The inpatient care team will carefully monitor your progress, implementing evidence-based practices and following established recovery plans.

After Discharge

Being discharged can feel overwhelming after experiencing a medical emergency. Here are a few steps that will help you after your visit:

  1. Follow the discharge instructions that were provided to you by your inpatient care team (Physicians, PAs, and/or NPs)
  2. Visit your primary care team or specialty care team to monitor your symptoms and complete any further testing required
  3. Review your test results to ensure you understand what you underwent while under medical care
  4. Call and schedule any follow up appointments recommended by your inpatient care team at the hospital

Our team worked diligently to ensure you received high-quality care during your visit, and you may receive a survey asking you to submit a review. We value your insights and appreciate the time you take to complete this survey. We strive to continually improve to better serve our patients.
